History of Palma Fibre goes way back to the 1960’s in Italy, Prato. In the early 70’s, the family started a company of textile raw materials. This company was to gather scraps of wool processing from clothes packaging, knitting mills, woolen mills and spinning mills for recycling. Recycling was to divide color and material and then sell to mills of Prato to make the famous carded yarn of Prato. During those years there was industry of knitting clothes for children in northern Europe as well, so the business expanded to Scandinavia.
As clothing industry’s production slowly moved away from Europe to far east, the main focus moved from selling fabric to selling knitting yarn.
Today we sell yarn to Scandinavia and Russia and we are expanding our product range continuously.
